What is Gurbani Akhar typing?Gurbani Akhar and similar fonts (AnmolLipi, GurbaniLipi) place each Gurmukhi letter on an English key. Learning this layout lets you type in every Tat Khalsa font.
Why is sihari typed first? In these fonts you type keys in the order they are written. Sihari (ਿ) appears before its letter, so you press i first: i + k gives ਕਿ.
Unicode or ASCII?Free typing gives both. Copy Unicode for phones, websites and social media. Copy Gurmukhi (ASCII) to paste into a document set in a Gurbani Akhar font.
